Remember when HP bought Palm? Then they made that tablet and phone? (I liked that tablet because I enjoy the OS, but they wrecked the build quality on that thing.) Then they stopped making the tablet and phone?
It looks like they want to make phones again. HP’s CEO Meg Whitman’s reasoning is, “phones are the prime growth area in the computing industry.”
My thought is that HP should focus on its commercial industry. As I recall from about a year ago, it was the only area of the business that was making a decent profit.
